The Settings Window (Device Programmer/Monitor)

The Server Settings window allows you to view or modify the Device Programmer to RM Server data communications, the Device Programmer to radio communications, as well as the Device Monitor language preference settings.

Configure the Device Programmer to Server Connection:

Enter the appropriate "RM Server" IP (Internet Protocol) Address or Domain Name Server (DNS host name) for the Device Programmer to RM Server's database communications.
Then enter the appropriate "Port" number.
Then select the appropriate "Authentication Method" number.
Finally, click the "Test Connection" button to manually initiate the connection.

Configure FIP Mode Programming:

The OTA Fixed IP Address must be defined for a radio's codeplug,

AND

The Schedule a Job's - Connection Method must be set to "POP25" or "Any" for that radio,

AND

FIP Mode is then available In the Device Programmer (DP) / Device Monitor...

When the DP's Communication Method is set to "Over the Air", and

when the DP's ARS Alias is set to "None".

(In this scenario, once the presence of a radio with a defined OTA Fixed IP Address is DP detected, only FIP Mode jobs are sent from the Server to be executed.)

	Motorola recommends that only one Device Programmer to read/write devices over Wireless (LAN). This is to avoid concurrence download job issue that will lead to low performance.
	If there are more than one Device Programmer to read/write devices over Wireless (LAN), Motorola recommends that each radio group is assigned to a unique Device Programmer.
